Three key adjectives: loyal • playful • protective
Influential Events:
VIGILANTE JUSTICE IS ITS OWN REWARDThere's a great deal wrapped up in the events surrounding Mista's first murder. Well: murders. When Mista saw a group of men attacking a woman, he didn't stop to think, he just . . . rushed in, as it were, because it was the right thing to do. This marks both the first time he took responsibility and the first time he showed an active (if reckless) desire to protect others. It marked a sea change in his life, revealing to him his own instinctive proficiency as a marksman. More than that, it was the catalyst for a series of events that would end with him having a choice between a prison term of 30 years or joining the mafia--a choice which was really no choice at all. While this event didn't singlehandedly change him into a responsible person or anything, it definitely made him more focused and, ultimately, led him to his found family.WHITE ALBUMSometimes, when you fight a dude and almost die, you learn some things. Up until this point, Mista was a guy who was willing to die for his cause, not because he wanted to die but because he had faith that there was a higher power that would determine whether or not it was what was meant to be in this moment. It's faith, in other words, that led his balls-to-the-wall, do-it-or-die-trying ethos. In his fight with Giorno against Ghiaccio, however, Giorno refuses to let Mista sacrifice himself. To Mista, this signifies that he can have faith in a power outside himself while recognizing that that external power never wants to lose him. After defeating Ghiaccio, Mista is still reckless to an extent, still willing to jump into the fray; however, he's more cautious, more thoughtful, and more strategic in the way he approaches problems. Furthermore, this fight signals the beginning of Mista's loyalty to Giorno and their long-term partnership.SEE YA, SUCKERSMista's loyalty was always to Bruno, not to Passione as a whole. It was Bruno who saved him from prison and Bruno who Mista would fight to the death for. Still, it marks a clear declaration of intent when Mista defects, choosing to join Bruno and Giorno in trying to kill Passione's boss. It's a choice that marks him for death, but he makes it quickly, and while he jokes that his reason for doing so is to get his hands on the boss's money when he's defeated, the deeper motivation is less what he can get for himself and more what he wants to stand for. The boss represents injustice and cruelty, going so far as to put a hit out on his own daughter; Bruno and Giorno represent justice and a desire to change a corrupt world for the better. By throwing his lot in with them, Mista has chosen to be a part of that change, throwing away the apathy of his past life once and for all.THE PRICE OF VICTORYBefore he joined Bruno's group, Mista was a loner with no clear connections to home or family. The other members of Bruno's group quickly became the most important people in the world to him. It's obvious that the deaths of Abbacchio, Narancia, and Bruno devastate him; until Fugo rejoins Passione in Purple Haze Feedback, he's the only person from Bruno's original gang left alive in Passione. Everything changes for Mista in just a couple of days, and everything that was is swept away in one violent, bloody move. This isn't the first time his life has changed quickly, but it's the first time he's lost people so close to him. At the same time, his recent experiences have matured him. Despite his grief, he's something of the emotional center of the surviving characters; he's able to maintain his sense of humor while getting done what needs done and taking care of others at the same time. The losses of those he saw as family reinforce to Mista the importance of giving his all to those who remain.RISE OF THE BOY KINGWith the boss's death, Giorno rises to the rank of boss uncontested, taking over Passione. Mista, unquestionably loyal, is there by his side. In his new high-ranking position in the organization and by Giorno's side, Mista finds himself with more responsibility than he's ever had, holding considerable power and commanding subordinates. He's more serious than he was before, devoted to Giorno's vision of a cleaned-up Passione and a safer city. Moreover, he's devoted to Giorno, present at his side in the capacity of adviser and bodyguard. Ultimately, Mista has found a purpose in his new place within Passione, and as a result is centered and content with his new responsibilities in a way his old self never could have been. He believes he's in the right place, doing what he's meant to do.

Chosen path: Paladin
3 Abilities:
â—‹ Lay on HandsWhy this path?:
â—‹ Aura of Courage
â—‹ Canon Power: Mista's Stand, the Sex Pistols. A Stand is a projection of the user's soul with unique powers. In Mista's case, his Stand can manipulate the direction and angle of projectiles--usually bullets in canon. Each of the six Pistols is also separately sentient. They fight a lot. Per mod decision, the separate-personality aspect of the Pistols is only usable for a brief period before they/Mista become fatigued. Additionally, if it's still permissible, I'd like for Mista to get to bring his gun with him! It's not magical, it's just a regular old gun. Please let me know if you'd like more information about any aspect of this power! Stands are weird.
Listen: a gangster Mista might be, but he's into justice in a big way. His most life-changing moments have come from an instinctive decision to do what's right regardless of the consequences. What marks him as a paladin rather than a fighter, though, is his faith in the guidance of a higher power--which he sees as God, fate, or a real person, depending on the day and the situation. His devotion to Bruno and (later) Giorno are no less serious than his superstition or his religious faith. Regardless of the source, he's guided by the twin hands of faith and justice, and as a result is a paladin, through and through!
